  25. My company has a firewall, and I can't sync to AvantGo.
  26.  
  27. If you're using AvantGo at your place of business and your company accesses the Internet through a firewall or proxy server, you may need to set up proxy server information.  
  28.  
  29. A proxy sever is a computer on your company's local network.  All requests to access the Internet are relayed through this server.  Because AvantGo access the Internet, you must set up access through your company's proxy server if your company uses one.

  31. AvantGo uses the Internet Control Panel to configure its proxy server settings.  Please contact your local system administrator for directions to properly configure your Macintosh.

  33. I would like to access a web site using security.

  35. AvantGo Connect for MacOS version 3.3 does not support security.

  38. 2. Synchronizing to Your Windows PC at Home/Work
  39.  
  40. Many Mac users also have access to a Microsoft Windows PC and would like to alternate synchronizing AvantGo between the Mac and the PC.

  42. In short, AvantGo Connect will allow you to synchronize to the same AvantGo.com account, whether you are currently using a Macintosh, a Windows PC, a modem, a wireless modem, or any other supported method of getting to the Internet.

To be able to synchronize using your Windows PC, you must upgrade the Windows version AvantGo for Windows v3.3.      At the time this product was shipped, the Windows version 3.3 was not yet available on AvantGo.com.  Once available, it may be downloaded and installed at no charge.  In the meanwhile, you must choose to ONLY sync with your Macintosh, or NOT to sync with your Macintosh at all.

  48. A PowerPC-based Macintosh, running System 8.1 or later.

  50. An Internet connection to your Macintosh.

  52. Any Palm handheld running Palm OS 3.0 or higher, including but not limited to:

  54.      - Palm Vx, V, III, IIIx, IIIe, IIIxe, VII
  55.      - Handspring Visor, Visor Deluxe
  56.      - IBM WorkPad
  57.      - TRG Pro
  58.      - QUALCOMM pdQ
  59.      - Symbol SPT family
  60.      (400K available memory suggested)

  62. Palm MacPac 2.1 (or better) or equivalent.

  64. You must install Palm Hotsync Manager and synchronize your handheld before installing AvantGo Connect.

  68. AvantGo Connect for Mac OS 3.3 does not support:
